The Fisher Foundation is focused on education in conservation among the youth (ages 12 -14) who live in communities adjacent to Southern Africa’s national parks and protected wildlife areas. We have found that this critical juncture in the lives of our youth is when world views are being formed and is the most appropriate age for introducing them to a conservation mindset.
We do not, at this stage, fund individuals, other foundations and/or programmes that do not fall within our scope and vision. We, as a foundation, work with carefully selected organisations with a view to longer-term relationships and have found that this is the best way forward to bring about sustainable change.
Our budgets and commitments for the year 2025 have been finalized and we will only entertain new proposals that fit our criteria in early 2026.
